I’m sitting here watching the parade and thinking about the things I’m thankful for. The most obvious this year and that I don’t take for granted by mentioning first is that Jo and I are together and that more….

Cub Scout troops, high school marching bands, and pageant queens. Some of those were pretty questionable. Even the little ones. more (with pics)

There are some things that we have done or known for so long that when it’s time for them, you don’t even have to think about when or what it is. I have one of those today.
Ever since I was a kid it was ritual that we got out of school at lunch the Tuesday before Thanksgiving. Not for Thanksgiving itself, more….>

I was reading the excerpt that Steph had put up from the Sacred Romance and it got me thinking about the “real” me. I have to keep some things for myself but here’s some stuff that’s real about me.

The Dub….

I moved to Wilmington in January of 1996. I started taking classes at UNCW part-time because I was lazy in high school and I had to prove myself, but after a couple of years or so they let me in full-time. I don’t think most people there realized that’s what took me so long, but there it is. I went with every intention of staying for a semester or so and more….
